About Shed Cloud
Shed is a CLI-first runtime for software built by people and coding agents. It takes a project folder, packages the files selected by the application definition, builds the software, runs it, and returns a URL or structured result. The product is designed to keep deployment inside the same shell session where tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex write and test code.
Our mission
We are building an agent-first cloud: somewhere to run software where the agent that wrote it can also ship it.
It should hold for anything, from a single function to an orchestra of small services working together.
Deploying should be as easy as creating a Google Doc. Protecting what you deployed should be as easy as sharing one: private until you name someone, and then that person can open it and nobody else can.
Not all of that is built yet. A SHED file describes one application today, and private sharing and sign-in in front of your app are marked as coming on the home page.
What Shed is for
Shed supports software that does not fit a frontend-only hosting model. That includes web applications, APIs, workers, scheduled jobs, one-off scripts, and containers with explicit build and run settings. An optional SHED file records those settings in the repository so people, agents, local execution, and remote execution can work from the same definition.
The local CLI workflow is available today. Shed's hosted and remote workflows are still being developed, and the documentation marks those boundaries directly. We publish that status because agents need to distinguish a usable command from a planned interface.
